About Cecily's Blog
This diary was written as part of the rehearsal process for Importance of Being Earnest at Spokane InterPlayers Ensemble in 1997, directed by Bob Welch.
The cast included:
Marquam Krantz as Jack
Ric Hamblin as Algernon
Patt Blem as Lady Bracknell
Kelly Lloyd as Gwendolyn
Erin Merritt as Cecily
Gayle Smith Reynolds as Miss Prism
Bill Marlowe as Dr. Chasuble
and Gary Pierce as Lane and Merriman
The diary was coordinated with one written by Ms. Lloyd on behalf of Gwendolyn. I am making this diary publicly available for the amusement of anyone who loves the play—or just wants a pre-fab background for Cecily for any reason. The diary was written very quickly and may contain anachronisms—feel free to point them out.
